Re: How worried should I be about this?

So when I first encountered this, there were a few message board posts about it, but none with anything useful in a conclusion sort of sense. Followup for the curious, and future internet users :D 8k more miles since cleaning the coil/boot and moving it to another cyl. No evidence that there has bee...

Re: PAX...SCHMAX...It's all about the RAW Time baby

You can keep your raw time chest thumping! I'll take my weenie pseudo-cred any day! :D

My target for several years has been fastest raw time out of drivers running daily driven street tires (yes I said "raw time", but make no mistake, there are three huge weenie qualifiers in there).

Re: WTB Miata Wheels

I just picked up a 2003 Miata that I plan to run next year. Any of you Miata guys have a set of 15x7 alloy wheels you want to sell. Jay I have a set of team dynamics 15x7 wheels I probably don't need to keep. The original ones from England back in the day. They have mostly been in storage since the...

I'd also suggest eliminating the giant slalom cones because it isn't 1971 and almost every car at our events has a painted plastic bumper. They just increase damage to cars for no good reason.

This has real merit.

but 7 of our 12 events this year were on big lots... whatever we do has to be consistent Agreed. Also, to clarify, I put it out there that the color does not present a setup hassle at big venues, and frequently does at small venues. I don't actually think the colors are a significant positive attri...

Re: Eliminating Green Cones...sort of?

I think I have pretty well proven that building a course to a very high standard of clarity still results in off courses where clarity is lower than average for that particular course. I can know with some certainty that this will happen if Dan complains that we used too many cones but can't quickly...

Re: Current SCCA Classing vs any other option

The club's members get the most benefit when we have as many opportunities to trophy as possible. Over the years we have continually worked to develop more groupings for trophies. Basically, what Im getting at in the post above is that I don't agree with this. Maybe others do, but I'll take competi...

Re: Current SCCA Classing vs any other option

National level classes are the result of trickle up from existing sucessful regional classes. These classes lately have been related to street tires, so that's my prediction of where the SCCA will be continuing to go. We are (like some SCCA regions) just ahead of the trend. People like me are passio...
