Sam ones I have, except mine dont lock.

You think drilling the holes for the sprayers was nerve racking? Wait until you get ready to make that 1st cut for the hood latches.

I had my entire hood laid out in tape and several drafting tools out. Still took a couple PBRs to get the courage to just go at it. If you have a dremel, get a composite side cutting bit for it. If you dont have one, I have all of it from when I did it. Cut it short, then hit it with a small drum sanding bit to get the rest. The flanges on those do leave a little room for error, but not much.

Yeah, Not exactly excited to do them.

I thought this video, although it has annoying music, shows the process and approach well.

RS-3s arrived today, the Hankooks were sticky but looks like they are almost done.

Need to get ready for the starting line school.

Had a blast last weekend at The Starting Line on Sat and Phase II Evolution School on Sunday. Car was a blast and I got a ton of seat time. Charlie and I were fast fenders on Sat, MR EVOL coming in with a 32.8 and me finishing with a 33.3 on Sat. Phase II on Sun was very fun too. Again a lot of seat time and mostly focused on visualization skills for preemptive driving vs reactive. I was very impressed with the Hankook RS3s. We were running hot laps and 12 runs in a row was a fun experience.

Made some good relationships with the Phase 2 instructors. Ron and Tony showed an interest in running an Evolution Driving School at Brunswick. Something for us to discuss and see if we have adequate interest to justify further investigation. I also got them curious about our Loring event.

Today after work got a few things done on the car.
- Changed the oil
- Rotated the tires
- Painted the Hood vent mesh and fender vent mesh a dark gray metal flake
- Painted the Calipers black
- Switched my running bulbs to 7000k LEDs

Need to get a couple things done before Loreing.
- New Rotors and pads
- Flush the brake fluid. Going to Motul RBF 600 Factory Line DOT 4
- Completely flush coolant. I think there maybe an air pocket in there from the hose pop last weekend at Devens. I had a scare the other day where it got hotter then I have ever seen before.
- Need to fix a small coolant leak too.
- Adjust the alignment. Go full positive camber at the hub and use the tophats to fully set neg camber.
- Figure out my passenger seat situation. One of my passengers at the last event must have been tossed around pretty good because the seat won't come up now. It's permanently reclined at them moment. Might need to dig one of the spares out from the basement.

Not sure if I'm up for much more then that.

What problem do the fender things solve? Just QR, or what?

I'll be interested in hearing about your experience with the yellowstuffs. I had the greenstuffs billowing smoke on my 2nd rerun at the last brunswick event.

The bumper has come out on the sides when encountering cones. This should resolve that issue, and still make removing the bumper very easy.

For those who are not on the book of faces...

I threw a rod in the engine last Sunday down at the NER event in Ayers on my 1st run... doh!

New engine located with 70k on it for $1800 and it's in Gorham. Hopefully she will be back in biz for the last BNAS. In the mean-time I will be enjoying the FR-S.

~cheers!
